House fire in Abercorn Place

THIRTY fire fighters was needed to put out a blaze at a house in St John’s Wood at the weekend.

Emergency services were contacted just after 3pm on Saturday after a fire broke out at a house on Abercorn Place.

Six fire engines from Paddington, Belsize and North Kensington fire stations attended the scene and the fire was under control by 16:39.

The fire severely damaged the roof and part of the second floor was also damaged by the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
